01Who runs this

MoonRec is independently run. It is not an official service and isn't operated by the original game's publisher. Connecting to MoonRec means your game client talks to this server instead of the official one — the official game's privacy policy doesn't apply here, and this one does.

02What we collect

To run a multiplayer game, the server necessarily stores:

• Account info — your chosen username/display name, avatar and outfit data, profile bio, and the birthdate you provide (used only to apply age-appropriate settings, e.g. Junior accounts).
• Connection info — a device identifier at login, kept to prevent abuse (ban evasion, cheating) and to keep sessions working.
• Gameplay content — rooms and inventions you build, chat messages, friend/club relationships, photos taken in-game, and similar content you create while playing.
• Basic usage data — login timestamps, which platform you connect from (PC/Quest/Steam), and in-game progress like level and currency balances.

03What we don't do

• No ads, no ad networks, no third-party analytics or trackers.
• We never sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We don't share your data with third parties, except where the law requires it.
• No payment or billing information is ever collected — MoonRec is free.

04Why we collect it

Strictly to run the game: authenticating you, keeping rooms and inventory consistent, matching you with friends, enforcing bans against people who ruin it for others, and diagnosing bugs when something breaks.

05Children & Junior accounts

The game supports "Junior" accounts with additional restrictions, and MoonRec honors that same flag. We don't knowingly collect more information from a Junior account than the client itself sends, and Junior-mode content restrictions carry over from the official game's design.

06How long we keep it

Data is kept for as long as your account exists on MoonRec. You can request full deletion of your account and everything tied to it at any time — see below.

07Your choices

• Delete your account: message the admin (contact below) and everything — profile, rooms you own, images, messages — is permanently removed.
• Ask what's stored: you can request a summary of your own account data at any time.

08Security

The server runs over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). As with any independently-run project, we can't offer the guarantees a large company can — if you're not comfortable with that tradeoff, this isn't the right server for you.

09Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll post about it in Discord. Continuing to use MoonRec after a change means you accept the update.
